The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has assured the public that it is ready to carry out mass repatriation efforts for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) affected by the escalating tension between Israel and Iran.
According to DMW Secretary Hans Cacdac, the agency is currently evaluating the appropriate timing to begin the repatriation of affected workers. There are approximately 30,000 OFWs in Israel and around 30 in Iran, and the department is closely monitoring their safety and the developing conflict.

Secretary Cacdac emphasized that the agency remains in contact with its regional and international offices to ensure all necessary protocols are in place should evacuation be needed. The DMW’s rapid response teams are also on standby.
Filipino families with relatives working in these regions are encouraged to reach out through the DMW’s dedicated hotlines to check on the status and welfare of their loved ones.
The department also reminded the public that safety and security remain the top priority, and all repatriation plans will be implemented with careful coordination among embassies, partner agencies, and international authorities.
As global tensions heighten, the DMW reiterates its commitment to protecting every Filipino worker abroad.
