51 Killed in Gaza, 23 Seeking Aid

At least 51 people were killed by the Israeli military in Gaza on Thursday, with 23 of the victims identified as aid seekers, according to local reports. The attack adds to the growing death toll around aid distribution sites, where over 1,000 Palestinians have been killed since operations began in late May.

The ongoing conflict has also led to widespread starvation in Gaza. Officials confirmed that two more babies and one young man have died of hunger, further highlighting the worsening humanitarian conditions under Israeli-enforced blockades.

Despite the dire situation, Hamas officials stated that they remain open to continuing ceasefire negotiations, but emphasized that humanitarian aid must first be allowed into the enclave. This statement came as U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff visited Israel for a high-level meeting with regional leaders.

The international community continues to raise concerns over the rising civilian death toll, particularly among those simply seeking food and aid, calling for immediate humanitarian access and protection of non-combatants.
